Deep blue petals, orange citrus pieces and green herbs: even before the kettle boils, this blend is full of colour. Blue Tangerine Grove is the playful sister of Tangerine Grove. Pour hot water over it and the cup turns a vivid blue-purple, with a sweet tangerine aroma rising from the steam.
Add a few drops of lemon and watch the colour shift. A small piece of kitchen theatre, ready in ten minutes.
Sweet tangerine comes first, followed by fresh lemongrass, soft fruit and a cool note of eucalyptus. In the cup it is softly sweet and citrus-led: hibiscus adds gentle brightness, beetroot, carrot and apple give body and earthy fruit depth, and stevia leaf rounds the cup with a light natural sweetness that never feels heavy.
A colourful afternoon cup, a summer brunch companion or a striking glass of homemade iced tea. Naturally caffeine-free, so it fits any time of day.
Blue tea, apple pieces, carrot flakes, sweet blackberry leaves, eucalyptus leaves, beetroot pieces, hibiscus, lemongrass, flavour, freeze-dried tangerine pieces, orange slices, stevia. A loose-leaf blend, prepared and packed in Greece, so every bag reaches you fresh and colourful.
“Blue tea” is the deep blue flower of the butterfly pea, Clitoria ternatea, which grows across Southeast Asia. In Thailand it is brewed as nam dok anchan, and in Malaysia it gives the rice dish nasi kerabu its blue colour. The colour comes from natural plant pigments that react to acidity, which is why a squeeze of lemon turns the cup from blue towards violet and pink.
How to brew
Pro tip Add a few drops of lemon after brewing and watch the colour shift. For iced tea, use 2 heaped teaspoons per 500ml, brew 10 minutes at 100°C, cool completely and serve over ice with orange, lemon or mint.
